  • Dr Rosli Azad Khan

    Managing Director

    Rosli Azad Khan is a Managing Director with extensive experience in transportation economics and planning. He holds a Ph.D. in Transport Economics and a Master’s in Transport Planning from Cranfield University, England.

    A former Vice President and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), Rosli has led over 400 consultancy projects across Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. His work spans both public and private sector clients, managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary studies in air, land, rail, sea, traffic, urban transportation, logistics, and supply chain management.

  • Linza Wells

    Executive Director

    Linza Wells is an Executive Director with a background in transport planning and consultancy. She holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Liverpool and an MSc from the University of London.

    A Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a member of the International Association of Traffic and Safety Science (IATSS) since 2004, Linza was recognized as the Best Student in Transport Planning for the Chartered Institute of Transport examination in 1999.

    With experience across Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the UK, she has worked as a consultant and project manager on numerous transportation projects. She currently oversees MDS Consultancy Group and MDS Traffic Planners & Consultants

  • Pim Rijkee

    Associate Director

    Mr Pim Rijkee obtained his Master of Science degree from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He has focused on modelling and GIS, applying both to traffic modelling and traffic demand.

    The projects he has been involved in covers various areas of land management, passenger demand modelling and forecasting, and developing sustainable land management plans – balancing the demands of various stakeholders. He has worked in Spain, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Burundi, Australia, and Malaysia.

    Pim currently leads the company operations & business development, training, planning, tracking and delivery of multiple projects as well as infrastructure and network simulation, evaluating design options, and visualising data.

  • Suresh Palpanaban

    Senior Aviation Consultant

    Suresh Palpanaban is a Senior Aviation Consultant with experience in aerospace development, innovation strategy and economic transformation. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, an LLB and an MBA.

    From 2013 to 2019, Suresh worked at Dubai South, where he helped develop its aviation and aerospace district. His responsibilities covered concept design, infrastructure planning, asset management, investment promotion and negotiations with major maintenance, repair and overhaul companies. His project team supported the establishment of Lufthansa Technik and GE’s first Middle East on-wing engine support centre.

    Suresh also developed aerospace supply-chain facilities, a supplier complex and investment plans for regional parts distribution, maintenance campuses and technical centres. Before joining Dubai South, he worked on Malaysia’s Government and Economic Transformation Programmes, where he developed and managed strategic roadmaps for the aerospace, green technology, shipbuilding and business services sectors.

  • Peter Iles

    Maritime Economist

    Peter Iles is a maritime economist and director at MDS Consultancy Group as well as TenBroeke Holdings Ltd and Strategic Transport Solutions International. A founder member of MDS Consultancy Group with nearly five decades of experience, he advises governments, port authorities, and private clients across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and beyond on port development, shipping strategy, and transport infrastructure.

    Since founding MDS Transmodal Ltd in 1989 in the UK, Peter has specialised in port economics, ferry operations, and maritime transport strategy. He has led investment studies for major port operators, feasibility analyses for ferry services, cruise terminal development, and railway freight connections to ports. His work includes operational efficiency audits, market and financial modelling for deep-water ports, and multimodal transport infrastructure.

    Peter has worked with port operators in Malaysia, government agencies in Scotland and the Falkland Islands, and private developers across Southeast Asia, the UK, and Ireland. He has conducted market reviews of shipping routes between the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Norway, and provided guidance on port capacity planning in Bangladesh. Prior to consulting, he served as General Manager of the Port of Boston Authority.

    He holds a BA in Economics and Economic History from the University of York and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

  • Ir Abdul Nasser Wahab

    Senior Port Expert

    Ir. Nasser has spent more than 30 years advising clients in the transportation sector as a project director, manager, and consultant.

    He began his career in 1981 as a Mechanical Engineer at Bintulu Port Authority (BPA) before advancing to Assistant Engineering Services Manager (Mechanical) in 1986. He later became Engineering Services Manager in 1990 and transitioned to Safety & Security Manager at Bintulu Port Sdn. Bhd. (BPSB) in 1993. In 1996, he was appointed Senior Manager of the Cargo Handling Services Division, holding this role until July 2001.

  • Ir Jaflus Abdul Jalil

    Port Engineering Specialist

    Ir Jaflus Abdul Jalil is a Port Engineering Specialist at MDS Traffic Planners & Consultants. He is a civil engineer with more than 40 years of experience in port planning, maritime infrastructure and structural engineering.

    He holds an MSc in Maritime Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool. He is a Professional Engineer and a member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia.

    His experience covers port and ferry terminals, fishing complexes, marine structures, inland container depots and logistics hubs. He has contributed to projects in Malaysia, Bangladesh, Uganda and Turkmenistan. His past work includes the Langkawi Maritime Development Master Plan, port asset assessments, maritime terminal planning and the design and rehabilitation of jetties and port infrastructure.

  • Ir Hj Azful Bin Saedon

    Traffic Engineering Lead

    Ir Hj Azful Bin Saedon is a Traffic Engineering Lead and civil engineer with 38 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Concordia University, Canada.

    A registered Professional Engineer with a Practising Certificate, he is also a member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia and the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia. He joined MDS Traffic Planners & Consultants in 2016, where he works as a Consultant Engineer and Project Director.

    Ir Azful has worked on more than 70 traffic, highway, urban transport, civil and structural projects. His experience includes traffic impact assessments, mobility studies, highway demand forecasts, traffic simulation and infrastructure design for public agencies and private developers. He also serves as a Professional Engineer Examination Interviewer and Independent Checker for structural, foundation and geotechnical designs.

  • Mariana Uzalli

    Data Collection Lead

    Mariana Binti Uzalli’s background is in software analysis and data management. She is a Lead Traffic Surveyor at MDS Traffic Planners & Consultants, managing data collection and analysis for transport studies and infrastructure projects.

    She has led traffic surveys for highways, urban mobility studies, and large-scale transport impact assessments across Malaysia. Her experience includes working on expressway operations, road network planning, and feasibility studies for public and private sector clients
